The landscape design for the Northern Ring Road (NRR) between Al Ain and Dubai—developed for Al Ain Municipality and presented to HH Sheikh Sultan Bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan—draws inspiration from Al Ain’s historic Oasis system, the concept integrates oasis-like planting zones along the corridor while emphasizing the use of the iconic Ghaff tree and other native desert species along the Wadi edge, this approach reinforces regional identity, enhances ecological resilience, and creates a cohesive, sustainable landscape expression for the NRR.
